I’ve been a pianist for most of my life and only in the last decade have felt comfortable enough to call myself a singer as well. I grew up hearing my mother sing so beautifully in church, and never quite felt like I was “good enough” or a strong enough singer. My new album Resignation is about finding my voice as the queer daughter of a pastor, highlighting heavier topics such as religious trauma and SA, while still finding the beauty in spirituality and individuality.
