In this tender and illuminating conversation, I sit down with Jordan, one of my childhood best friends and someone I deeply admire. Her family opened their heart and chose adoption and were chosen in return. They are now raising their daughter Mila with reverence, honesty, and a deep sense of awe. Together, we explore what it means to form a family through uncertainty, how love and loss co-exist in the same breath, and what adoption in America really asks of all of us—systemically, emotionally, and spiritually. Even if adoption hasn’t touched your life personally, there’s still so many ways you can show up in love and support.

Whether you’ve walked this road or are simply here to listen and learn—there’s something in this story for you.

After 15 years in Phoenix, Jordan Moreno returned to Colorado in early 2025, where nature reignited her creative spark and inspired a new season of exploration and growth. She manages a multi-million dollar foundation by day, drawing on her background in media and community relations. But her most meaningful roles are wife and mom to two young kids—one adopted through private infant adoption. That experience led her to feel called to advocate through honest, powerful stories from the adoption and foster care community.
