<image:title>Stories in Motion - Adoption in America with jordan Moreno - @jordan_s_moreno Castle Rock, CO</image:title>
<image:caption>After 15 years in Phoenix, Jordan Moreno returned to Colorado in early 2025, where nature reignited her creative spark and inspired a new season of exploration and growth. She manages a multi-million dollar foundation by day, drawing on her background in media and community relations. But her most meaningful roles are wife and mom to two young kids—one adopted through private infant adoption. That experience led her to feel called to advocate through honest, powerful stories from the adoption and foster care community.</image:caption>

<image:caption>“I recently saw a journal prompt explaining how your childhood treehouse, backyard swing, or yard has seen every phase of you into adulthood. It made me think about my own little corner of the world in my parents' backyard that provided me with such a sense of comfort when I was a little girl. I began to think about how our meetings are few and far between these days, but that I am lucky to have a place to call home. I began to think about the tree's perspective and titled it ‘Thanks for Waiting.’”</image:caption>

I’ve always been drawn to the quiet moments — a glance, a laugh, a stillness — that say everything without trying to say anything at all. My work isn’t about perfection; it’s about presence. It’s about the way people look when they feel most like themselves, when they’re deeply in love with their life, even if just for a fleeting second.”</image:caption>

      <image:title>Visons of Awe Showcase - Brandon T. Brown - EXTERMINATOR (self-portrait)</image:title>
<image:caption>“I created this painting approx. 15 years ago. At that time I was just getting into mixed media art and I really liked how the acrylic washes paired with the ink. Since then, the painting has brought me many thoughts and conversations, and has developed more meaning than when it was initially created. The "wonder" of the painting exists on two plains: is the subject "exterminating" the viewer or something within their own life? Is the painting referring to the end of a life, or is it symbolic for things we want to remove from life we are living?”</image:caption>

<image:caption>“My process resembles that of playtime. I sit down, put some music on, steep some tea and let whatever is about to happen unfold. I am a big believer in silencing your inner critic and allowing yourself to go on your entire journey before making a judgement. If it doesn't look good, then it simply is not yet finished. Many of my pieces, like my Mountain Mama piece, are mashups of different pieces made at different times, sometimes even years apart. All it takes is the right mood, or the fresh look to make a connection and see the right direction.”</image:caption>

I love to mix medias, use digital tools as well as mashup different pieces I have made at different times in my life. Any chance I get to explore my creativity is one I relish. To allow yourself the patience to practice and build a skill rather than believe that you can only spend time on the things you already excel at. Living in awe is throwing away your expectation and diving into an experience, laughing at the unexpected turns that learning brings.
